Belicica of Annunciation Nazareth
Day 1 and Day2 – On the road
As mentioned at the previous blog, to day the family and I went to the Sydney international airport. I went to check in the luggage which is a big rucksack. Thank you Joey that he gave me a big Qantas plastic bag so that this clumsy stuff have got more protection. And the airport also provides strapping service on top of the plastic bag. It cost you 9 bucks. But I don’t think I need one, anyway. Unfortunately the yum cha plan was not working since I haven’t got much time. Anyway everybody’s got a good breakfast. As all other people will do that we took photos in front of the sign of Customs dept. She held me so tight that I could feel her anxiety was deep.
Today I was lucky enough to be chosen to be checked for explosive. He used a small strip of paper to smear on my palms, cloth, inside and outside of bags..etc. of course nothing was found , just simply because there was nothing in the first place. Otherwise everything was quite smooth.
Everything was happened as planned. But please imagine that
- Sydney to HK took 9 hours,
-Waiting for transit took 3 hours
-HK to Amman took 13 hours, including stopping Bangkok for 2 hours
-Waiting for transit took 2 hours
- Amman to Tel Aviv took 45 min.
This was, of course the longest flight journey that I’ve ever ever ever had.
My bums kept sticking on one surface with only very little rest for 13 hours. You can imagine what the feeling is.
In the flight to Amman, I can have the personal feeling of a person who is in a big crowd of people of different appearance, languages, customs, religions etc etc etc. the feeling is unsafe, uncomfortable, being helpless and…!
Luckily everything went pretty smooth.
The flight From Amman to Tel Aviv, they used a small aircraft. It can turn sharp angles makes you feel like sitting on a rollercoaster. Another thing was that instead of using a straight line shortest route, they flew NE, then turned left to the Mediterranean Sea , and then turn left again to the airport. Compared to these 2 routes, If they use the shorter route, the aircraft has to fly across the whole country from E to W, for the other one, the aircraft lands on just from the costal line. Is this the reason why they use this abnormal route. Who knows?
After landing on the God’s promise land, I passed the customs as easy as to pass through the HK one. Which is, on the contrary is said to be the toughest border in the world.
And then..?
How about we talk it tomorrow?
I am very tied, but I have to say thank you for my dearest wife and my most lovely kids who gave me instant supports. They recharged my flat out body and soul. How lucky I am. I will keep it up and look after myself.
OK let’s chat again.
